Ubibot External Probe Extender Adapter (for Ubibot Devices only)

Introduction

This USB splitter is specially designed for using with our innovative sensing device WS1 and WS1 Pro. One Micro USB male extends to two Micro USB females. With this cable, you can charge the device at the same time as accessing an external probe.

Application cases

For WS1 device which has only one on-board USB port, you are allowed to connect with USB power and one external DS18B20 temperature probe simultaneouly. Please note, two external probes connected at the same time are not supported.

For WS1 Pro device which has two on-device ports, there are multiple options of combining the USB power supply and the external probes, because the USB2 is embedded with RS485 interface. Therefore, when the USB splitter is connected to the USB2, it supports one for DS18B20 temperature probe and one for RS485 probe. In this case, the USB1 can be used for power supply or another DS18B20 probe.

Use Cases

Both USB power and external probe connected: For the WS1 device, the splitter helps to extend the on-board one Micro-USB female port to two. In this way, you are able to use the USB power as well as an external temperature probe. Please note, the picture above is for reference only.

More options of external probes: For the WS1 Pro device, there are more options with the additional ports. The USB power and two external probes can be connected simultaneously. Please note, the picture above is for reference only.

Flexible combination of probes, more data are ready to get: When the device is batteries powered, the total three USB ports can all be connected with external porbes, giving you as much condition data as you like. Please note, the picture above is for reference only.
