Q: Do u just set up and start cutting do you hook plasma cutter to air ?
A: You have to hook it up to air to cut.

Q: Is this a non touch pilot arc or do you need to touch to get the arc?
A: Yes, the CUT-50 has non-contact arc ignition. You simply hold the tip of the torch close to the cutting surface, hold the trigger, and it will light up. The included gas cup actually clips the standoffs to maintain a minimum distance from the torch tip to the cutting surface.
